Nat and Whiteblack’s new friend Little Blue arrived in Surabaya Indonesia on Monday and Tuesday were already chalktalking at nearby schools in the city of Sidoarjo. The Rey Foundation is being hosted by its partner organization, The World is Just a Book Away (WJBA), which has built 21 libraries in Sidoarjo villages and schools. Sidoarjo is the site of as major disaster: after the 2006 earthquake boiling hut mud emerged from the site of a drilling operation. The mud has buried sixteen villages and displaced many thousands of people and threatens many more. In addition to buldng libraries in “safe zones,” the WJBA serves communities in the “danger zone” with a mobile library.
