Hans Rey often visited schools, libraries and other public places to make illustrated presentations. He would draw quickly with chalk as he talked, and then give the drawings away to members of his audience.
The Rey Foundation combines these two experiences by providing an opportunity for people to see Nat Scrimshaw (who experienced chalk-talks and studio visits as a child) draw in the style of Hans Rey. Nat takes Chalk Talks to a variety of venues during the course of the year.
